More than a dozen students in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Allied Health Sciences received recognition for their studies across four health care disciplines.
On Thursday, April 20, 2017, The UNC Graduate School recognized dozens of students for their accomplishments during the school year, including Jesse Sykes, a second-year student in the Division of Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.
The School awarded Sykes with The Graduate and Professional Student Federation (GPSF) Graduate Student Awards for Excellence in Mentorship. The Graduate School recognizes students who also receive prestigious fellowships and awards; honorees make significant contributions to University’s mission in a wide variety of fields of study.
“Graduate students inspire us through their hard work, enthusiasm and determination,” said Steve Matson, dean of the Graduate School. “We have much to celebrate, every day, within our graduate education community.”
