SUMMARY:Research Forum: Motor-Based Problem Solving in Physical Therapy for Infants
DESCRIPTION:Motor-Based Problem Solving in Physical Therapy for Infants\nStacey Dusing PT\, PhD\, FAPTA \nDivision of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy\nHerman Ostrow School of Dentistry\nUniversity of Southern California \nTraining for physical\, occupational\, and speech therapists are isolated from each other\, and rarely provide adequate training in transdisciplinary practice or research methods. \nDr. Dusing will share her experience with mentoring researchers\, clinician scientists\, and therapists. She will also share preliminary results from the SIT-PT trial for infants with early signs of Cerebral Palsy which compared the efficacy of a motor-based problem-solving intervention with a dose matched control intervention that replicated usual care. \nRegister for Research Forum
