Note: The online application will be available in late August. Application for admission in the Fall Semester must be completed by the second Tuesday in June. Under exceptional situations, we may consider applications for the Spring Semester. Fall admission is required if the applicant wants to be considered for an assistantship.<\/em><\/p>\n

Admission to the doctoral program in occupational science is open to individuals who have a master\u2019s degree in a social science field or in occupational therapy. Applicants should have strong academic backgrounds, an understanding of the discipline of occupational science, a desire to contribute to the knowledge and research regarding human occupation, and the goal of an academic or applied research career.<\/p>\n

Before writing your personal statement about why you want to study at UNC-CH, prospective applicants will benefit from reading the publications of the faculty referenced on the faculty biography pages, as well as literature from prominent journals within occupational science.\u00a0Doctoral students in occupational science are admitted to the Graduate School, not the UNC School of Medicine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n
