Why I chose to do a residency program at UNC

When looking at pediatric residency programs, UNC stood out to me for a number of reasons. This residency not only allows you to gain experience across various pediatric settings, but it also gives you the opportunity to teach at the graduate level, participate in the LEND fellowship, and treat adults with developmental disabilities in their place of residence. There is also an amazing team atmosphere within UNC rehab therapies and mentors are incredibly knowledgeable and accessible. Treating patients within this large hospital system also means that you see a wide variety of patients from all different backgrounds and from all over the state.

What I like about Chapel Hill, NC

Chapel Hill is a beautiful area with other cities like Durham and Raleigh right around the corner. Chapel Hill is also very walkable and has some of the best public transportation that I’ve seen in the south. Most importantly, there is no better place for college athletics than UNC! Go Heels!
