UNC – Wilmington
UNC – Chapel Hill
I enjoy treating patients across the lifespan and integrating activity health promotion and wellness into my routine patient care. I recently found out that I love working with adolescent and high school athletes, and hope to continue developing this interest. The outpatient orthopedic population is my favorite, because of the problem solving required for the vast range of patient populations that walk through the door.
Why I chose to do a residency/fellowship program at UNC:
Having received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UNC, I was aware of the many opportunities for teaching, research, and high level of mentorship that UNC had to offer. Many of the mentors for the residency program also have shared professional interests with my own, and I wanted to stick around and learn more from them.
What I like about Chapel Hill, NC:
Chapel hill is one close-knit community, tied together by a strong college & sport-related legacy, and by the camaraderie and friendliness of the people that live there. There are additionally many outdoor trails and parks to stay active at and a few excellent coffee shops to relax or study at. Many places are dog friendly, and the surrounding triangle area is full of opportunity no matter what your interests may be.
