I look forward to eventually helping out in graduate PT courses as a lab assistant for orthopedic and manual based classes as I think teaching is one of the best ways to also learn more about our profession and stay current with the research. I also look forward to being a clinical instructor for DPT students.
Why I chose to do a residency/fellowship program at UNC
I felt as though UNC’s program really fit my morals well in terms of their community engagement opportunities and promotion of health care for the whole person by utilizing a biopsychosocial model towards care. I also loved that UNC sets their appointment schedules to treat one patient at a time as it allows the opportunity to fully invest time and energy for 45 minutes focused 100% on that patient and their healthcare journey.
What I like about Chapel Hill, NC
I am currently loving the fall colors and the weather! I have enjoyed exploring different places to eat throughout the triangle and meeting folks from all over the country who have chosen to make CH their home. I also love how beautiful the scenery is with trees and forests everywhere! It truly makes for breathtaking hiking adventures, especially in the fall as the colors are changing. I am certainly excited to have a break from the WI winters this year, and I look forward to more outdoor adventures throughout the next year!
