SUMMARY:DPT Exploratory Day
DESCRIPTION:The one-day program will consist of informational and educational sessions and panels to provide insight into the physical therapy profession\, the admissions process\, and what to expect as a physical therapy student. \nThe UNC Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) Exploratory Program aims to extend our reach to applicants and students who are from groups who are underrepresented within the physical therapy profession\, first-generation college students\, and those interested in serving in underserved or rural areas of North Carolina. Participants will gain insight from current UNC DPT students and faculty\, experience a lecture on foundational topics in physical therapy education\, acquire helpful information to assist with applying to a PT program\, and participate in other professional development activities. \nThe registration deadline is April 8th. There are a limited number of spots and spots will be filled in the order in which individuals register. There is no cost to attend the program.
