During the COVID-19 crisis, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) through the
\nExceptional Children Division (ECD) is providing resources on the delivery of Specially
\nDesigned Instruction (SDI) through the lens of distance instruction for related services. States are
\nencouraged to continue educating students with disabilities. The attached document will be released this afternoon to the respective related service providers for public schools.<\/p>\n
As a reminder: \u201cFAPE may include, as appropriate, special education and related services provided through distance instruction provided virtually, online, or telephonically.\u201d<\/p>\n
