{"id":6709,"date":"2024-02-01T16:50:22","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T21:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/physical\/schoolbasedpt\/?p=6709"},"modified":"2024-02-01T17:15:09","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T22:15:09","slug":"6709","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/physical\/schoolbasedpt\/2024\/02\/6709\/","title":{"rendered":"NCDPI Salary Schedules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This information is also available on the SBPT website under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/physical\/schoolbasedpt\/additional-resources\/best-practice-resources\/\">Best Practices<\/a>\/Staffing and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/physical\/schoolbasedpt\/additional-resources\/ec-director-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EC Director\/Coordinator<\/a>\/Staffing.<\/p>\n<p>The official NC DPI Salary Schedules for 23-24 were updated\/published in October 2023<\/p>\n<p>Provided here for easy access:<\/p>\n<p>Changes in salary for classified (or non-certified) personnel<\/p>\n<p>Those personnel not required to be certified by the State Board of Education in order to be employed:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpi.nc.gov\/media\/15962\/download?attachment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Executive Summary, Slide Deck &amp; DPI Salary Schedules<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under \u2018Other Licensed Professionals\u2019 section Aligned with OSHR \u2018Medical\/Health\u2019 group<\/li>\n<li>Salary range= $5,044 to $8,945 per month<\/li>\n<li>Compliant with GS 115C-316(1b) which requires locally set salary schedule<\/li>\n<li>Minimums in place by July 1st 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpi.nc.gov\/districts-schools\/district-operations\/financial-and-business-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Financial and Business Services Page | NCDPI<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpi.nc.gov\/documents\/fbs\/resources\/salaryschedule2324hb259pdf\/download?attachment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NC DPI Salary Schedules 2023-2024<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For Most Classified Positions at the Public Schools<\/li>\n<li>Be reminded these are only minimum and maximum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Local Boards of Education should have scales for these staff and should update them as may be required for State Budget actions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Scales are based on Full-Time Personnel and a 40 hour work week.<\/li>\n<li>The $15 minimum wage for Full-Time State personnel goes into effect July 1, 2022<\/li>\n<li>Other than the required $15 minimum ($2,600), the new range minimums are being recommended to go into effect July 1, 2024.<\/li>\n<li>These scales do not cover ALL classified positions that may be used or employed at a school district (PSU), as such the Local Boards of Education may adopt their own local salary schedules per GS 115C-47 (21).<\/li>\n<li>The new range maximums being recommended may be paid from state\/federal funds beginning July 1, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>These recommendations provide the range of salary that may be paid from state and\/or federal funds allocated to the school district by NCDPI as required in GS 115C-12 (16).<\/li>\n<li>Local funds may be used to supplement these ranges as needed by the Local Boards of Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This information is also available on the SBPT website under Best Practices\/Staffing and EC Director\/Coordinator\/Staffing.
