{"id":3034,"date":"2019-04-26T14:52:04","date_gmt":"2019-04-26T18:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/physical\/schoolbasedpt\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=3034"},"modified":"2019-04-26T14:52:04","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T18:52:04","slug":"2019springrspmeeting","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/physical\/schoolbasedpt\/event\/2019springrspmeeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring 2019 Statewide Meeting of Related Services Representatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Spring 2019 Statewide Meeting of Related Services Representatives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NCDPI Exceptional Children Division consultants are pleased to announce the Spring 2019 meeting of LEA representative practitioners for <strong>OT, PT and School Psychology<\/strong> on <strong>Monday, May 6, 2019<\/strong> at UNC Greensboro, Elliott Center<strong>, <\/strong>507 Stirling St., Greensboro, NC 27412.\u00a0 Parking is available in the Oakland Parking Deck on the corner of Forest St. and Spring Garden St.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Room assignments at the Elliott Center (subject to change) are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Occupational Therapists: <strong>Auditorium<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Physical Therapists: <strong>Maple<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>School Psychologists: <strong>Alexander<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The statewide meeting for <strong>Audiologists<\/strong> will be held on <strong>Friday,\u00a0May 24<\/strong> at the following location:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Winston-Salem\/Forsyth County Schools Education Building<\/p>\n<p>Conference Room 223<br \/>\n4801 Bethania Station Rd.<br \/>\nWinston-Salem, NC 27105<\/p>\n<p>The date for the statewide meeting for <strong>Speech-Language Pathologists<\/strong> is <strong>TBD.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All meetings will begin\u00a0at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch.\u00a0 Participants will need to bring their lunch or dine at one of the nearby area restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Each LEA and Charter School in NC is encouraged to send ONE (1) representative, <u>which may include contracted personnel<\/u>, from each discipline.\u00a0 LEAs and Charters are also encouraged to utilize PRC 118 funding to support participation at this meeting and travel costs.\u00a0 <strong>Participants will need to register in advance using the following registration link: <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/RSPSpring2019\"><strong>http:\/\/bit.ly\/RSPSpring2019<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Questions about the meetings can be directed to the appropriate consultant:<\/p>\n<p>Sherri Vernelson, Audiology \u2013 <a href=\"mailto:sherri.vernelson@dpi.nc.gov\">sherri.vernelson@dpi.nc.gov<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lauren Holahan, Consultant for Occupational Therapy \u2013 <a href=\"mailto:lauren_holahan@med.unc.edu\">lauren_holahan@med.unc.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Laurie Ray, Consultant for Physical Therapy &#8211;
