{"id":2523,"date":"2012-12-30T18:15:00","date_gmt":"2012-12-30T23:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/research\/bailliard-awarded-funding-to-help-study-immigration-experiences\/"},"modified":"2018-10-29T11:13:38","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T15:13:38","slug":"bailliard-awarded-funding-to-help-study-immigration-experiences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/research\/bailliard-awarded-funding-to-help-study-immigration-experiences\/","title":{"rendered":"Bailliard Awarded Funding to Help Study Immigration Experiences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Dr. Antoine Bailliard, Assistant Professor, has received a Junior Faculty Development Award and a grant from the University Research Council to study immigration experiences of the Latino community in North Carolina.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-section\">\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/888\/2018\/10\/bailliard-awarded-funding-to-help-study-immigration-experiences-image2.jpeg\" alt=\"image2\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Antoine Bailliard<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Junior Faculty Development Award of $7,500 will support a pilot project titled \u201cMexican Immigrants\u2019 Participation in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Associated Mental Health.\u201d The project will administer the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure and the Duke Health Profile in three phases to measure change over the first year after immigration.
