By identifying barriers to physical therapy and understanding patient and clinician expectations, we aim to adapt a flexible, low-intensity consultative approach that supports safe, independent physical activity over time. Rehabilitation and exercise can improve disability but are not well integrated into routine care. It can be intimidating to start strength training without knowledge of how to perform exercises safely and what exercises would help with RA specifically.
