Eligibility:
- Students accepted to the UNC MSOT program for the fall of 2025 or the fall of 2027
- Students in their 2nd year of the UNC DPT program starting in the fall of 2025 or the fall of 2027
Application Process
- Before completing the application, please review all the information on this website about the SHINES Project.
- Interested students are asked to upload responses to 3 essay prompts. One response requires a short essay of 150 words, and the other two require a somewhat longer response of up to 500 words.
- If you prefer to audio (no video) record your responses, each should be no more than 3 minutes long.
- Do not put your name or any identifying details on your submission materials; use only your UNC PID number.
- Submit your application materials via Qualtrics by March 15, 2025, at 11:59p EST.
- All applications will be blind reviewed (anonymous) by SHINES Project faculty.
Timelines:
- Mid-February 2025: Eligible MSOT and DPT students will be notified about the SHINES project opportunity, and the application is opened.
- March 15, 2025: Applications are due.
- March 24, 2025: Applicants are notified regarding their acceptance as project scholars.
