Personal Statement
Dr. Caitlyn Whitson joined the UNC HCC as a Clinical Instructor and Clinic Manager in May 2019. In 2023, she was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences in the UNC School of Medicine. Her clinical specialties include adult hearing aid fittings, adult hearing diagnostics, custom hearing protection, and adult aural rehabilitation. Outside of direct patient care, other clinic management duties include graduate student precepting, daily management of clinical inventory, and facilitation of the HCC’s aural rehabilitation program. Outside of work, she enjoys going on hikes at Eno, spending time with her daughter, and traveling to the mountains or beaches of North Carolina.
