Personal Statement

Dr. Devon Weist joined the Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences in 2022.  She is the program coordinator for the audiology graduate program. Additionally, Dr. Weist teaches students in both the classroom and the clinical setting. Her clinical interest areas are in audiologic diagnostics including assessment and intervention in hearing and balance disorders. Additionally, she has particular interest in practicing and teaching patient centered care centered around living with hearing and balance related disorders.

Dr. Weist is a licensed audiologist in the state of North Carolina. She is involved in the profession at both the state and national levels holding memberships in the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language Hearing Association, North Carolina Audiology Association, and IDA Institute (centered on patient centered care).
