Hyperacusis is characterized by a sensitivity to sounds that would not be considered loud by others. Though rare, hyperacusis is more likely to appear in people with tinnitus or in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Hyperacusis can range in severity from a mild nuisance to quite debilitating. Join us this month for a deeper look into hyperacusis as we discuss it’s connection to hearing loss, tinnitus, and how it’s treated.
