Darla McDonald will be serving as our\u00a0doctoral extern for the 2024-2025 academic year. She is a fourth-year Doctor of Audiology student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Darla graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in\u00a0Biology and from North Carolina State University with a Master of Education in Science Education.<\/p>\n
Darla worked for 15 years as a high school science teacher and school administrator before embarking on a career in audiology. Darla enjoys working with older adults to improve their ability to communicate with family and friends. Additionally, she has a passion for helping patients with chronic dizziness and vestibular dysfunction.
