Over-the-counter hearing aids are a new class of hearing aid which were recently approved by the FDA for treating perceived mild to moderate hearing loss in adults. While the addition of OTC devices is an overall positive one for the hearing aid industry, it may add to confusion on the consumer’s part about where and how to begin a hearing journey. Please join UNC HCC doctor of audiology, Caitlyn Whitson, and fourth year doctoral extern, Nicole Oldrati, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 for a brief summary of the current state of the hearing aid service delivery model and how OTCs may (or may not) be disrupting it.\u00a0
