{"id":2282,"date":"2017-09-09T14:55:09","date_gmt":"2017-09-09T18:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/unc-pa\/?p=2282"},"modified":"2017-11-02T10:33:00","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T14:33:00","slug":"gabrielle-neri-mynatt-awarded-scholarship-from-pa-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/unc-pa\/2017\/09\/gabrielle-neri-mynatt-awarded-scholarship-from-pa-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Gabrielle Neri-Mynatt Awarded Scholarship from PA Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<header>\n<p id=\"description\" class=\".documentDescription\"><span class=\"s1\">Gabrielle\u00a0<\/span>Neri-Mynatt, a second-year Physician Assistant Studies student at the UNC School of Medicine, was awarded a <a class=\"external-link\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/pa-foundation.org\/2017-pa-foundation-scholarship-recipients\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PA Foundation Scholarship<\/a> in August 2017 along with 18 other PA students across the country.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<div id=\"content-area\">\n<div id=\"parent-fieldname-text\" class=\"plain\">\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The\u00a0<\/span>PA Foundation scholarships focus on helping students who demonstrate a clear passion for the field and health care-related community service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Dr. Lawrence Kim, with the UNC Department of Surgery, worked with Neri-Mynatt during her clinical rotations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;[Neri-Mynatt] was a student who didn\u2019t seem like a student; it felt like I was working with a certified PA,&#8221; Kim said. \u00a0&#8220;She made clinic move faster and more smoothly.\u00a0 She was accurate and efficient, and anticipated needs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Neri-Mynatt\u00a0<\/span>was one of 368 applicants for the scholarship opportunity.
