Many of them have voluntarily completed trainings provided by the University to continually support our students and colleagues.<\/p>\n<h3><a style=\"font-size: 24px;background-color: #ffffff\" href=\"https:\/\/ssw.unc.edu\/continuing-education\/other-programs\/mental-health-first-aid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mental Health\/First Aid<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Mental Health First Aid is an eight-hour training that will give staff and faculty the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/odos.unc.edu\/student-veterans\/green-zone-training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Green Zone<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Green Zone training is for faculty and staff that wish to learn more about the military-affiliated student experience. Its goals are to train members of the Carolina community to know more about\u00a0 the issues and concerns faced by military-affiliated students and to identify individuals who are available to assist this population.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/lgbtq.unc.edu\/safe-zone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Safe Zone<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Safe Zone is a program designed to create a network of visible allies to people who identify as part of the diverse LGBTIQA+ community. The four-hour educational session provides information and resources related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our faculty and staff believe in constant growth and preparation.
