Simchat Torah celebrates the conclusion and the beginning of another annual cycle of reading the Torah.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>National Physical Therapy Month<\/h3>\n<p><b>October 1-31, 2023\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">National Physical Therapy Month <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is celebrated annually in October to raise awareness about the benefits of physical therapy. This year\u2019s theme will be \u201cValue of PT\u201d and it highlights how physical therapy improves the quality of life for people. The month of October is a great opportunity to appreciate what PTs, PTAs, and students do to transform lives and society.<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apta.org\/national-physical-therapy-month#:~:text=Every%20October%20we%20celebrate%20National,many%20benefits%20of%20physical%20therapy.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about National Physical Therapy Month.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>National Physician Assistant Week<\/h3>\n<p><b>October 6-12, 2023\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">National Physician Assistant Week is annually celebrated during the month of October, which recognizes the profession and its contributions to the medical community and the nation\u2019s health. It is a time to appreciate all PAs and their value to society.<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aapa.org\/pas-go-beyond\/spread-the-word\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about National Physician Assistant Week.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>National Audiology Awareness Month<\/h3>\n<p><b>October 1-31, 2023\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">National Audiology Awareness Month <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is annually celebrated to bring awareness to the profession and the importance of promoting good hearing and balance health. It is an opportunity to learn more about the services audiologists provide and the value of audiologists. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.audiology.org\/national-audiology-awareness-month\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about National Audiology Awareness Month.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">UNC-Chapel Hill provides a <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/diversity.unc.edu\/holy-days-observances\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">calendar of Holy Days and Observances<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as a resource for education and accommodation.
