The\u00a0UNC School of Medicine Academy of Educators<\/a>\u00a0inducted Nancy Bagatell and Linn Wakeford into its ranks on May 23. Wakeford in an associate professor in the Division\u00a0of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy<\/a>, where Bagatell serves as program director.\u00a0The division is housed in the Department of Allied Health Sciences (DAHS).<\/p>\n

Wakeford is also coordinator for admission and for the master’s program in occupational therapy. Bagatell is also an associate professor and\u00a0coordinator for the PhD program in occupational science. The master’s\u00a0in\u00a0occupational therapy is ranked #9 in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Founded in 2006, the Academy of Educators emphasizes teaching and supports faculty development in Chapel Hill and across the state. More than 250 active faculty members and 60 resident members represent a diverse population of educators across various specialties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
