B.A.
Miranda was born and raised in Raleigh but received her BA in Psychology from UNC-CH in 2012. After earning her BA, she worked as a direct support provider to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as a biostatistical health survey researcher and shift leader, and as a teacher of English as a foreign language in Bangkok, Thailand. Her experience living in Thailand sparked an interest in the field of Psychological Anthropology and she spent two years as an MA student at Washington State University (2019-2021) studying the role of culture in the development of Theory of Mind. Miranda is excited to combine her interests in both research and education in the Writing Quality Model Project. In her free time, Miranda enjoys reading, traveling, and getting in a good workout.
