The Recruitment Selection documentation is submitted from the department’s HR Consultant to the SOM HR Office. The department’s HR Consultant requests a Pre-Employment Background Check and completes and submits a Selection and Hiring Proposal. Then the SOM HR Consultant electronically receives notice that the selection and hiring proposal is available and ready to continue processing the offer package. The Classification and Compensation group is responsible for maintaining fair and equitable classification and salary decisions for the University’s SHRA workforce. The unit maintains the integrity of the State of North Carolina’s career banding program as well as the Department of Labor’s prescribed Fair Labor Standards Act regulations.
