Call your Primary Care Provider or your Hemophilia Center (919-966-4736) if you have questions.<\/p>\n<h2>What is COVID-19?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>COVID-19 is the disease caused by the new coronavirus and COVID \u2013 19 stands for <strong>Corona Virus Disease 19<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>COVID-19 symptoms include cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat, unexplained loss of taste or smell, diarrhea and headache. COVID-19 can be severe, and some cases have caused death.<\/li>\n<li>The COVID-19 can be spread from person to person. It is diagnosed with a laboratory test.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/health\/conditions-and-diseases\/coronavirus\/how-can-i-protect-myself-from-coronavirus\">Prevention<\/a> involves frequent hand-washing, coughing into the bend of your elbow, staying home when you are sick and wearing a cloth face covering if you can\u2019t practice social distancing.<\/li>\n<li>Vaccines are available to those 5 years of age and older.\u00a0 Please contact your provider for vaccine related questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr  style=\"margin:35px 0\"class=\" rule-thin osc-rule\" \/>\n<h2>Medical &amp; Scientific Resources<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>There are many resources online with updated information on the COVID-19 (Coronavirus).<\/li>\n<li>We recommend <strong>only using sources that provide official information<\/strong> to avoid misinformation and confusion. Be very careful when reading or viewing information from questionable sources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>North Carolina Specific Information<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nc.gov\/covid19\">NC.gov COVID-19 Information Hub<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unchealthcare.org\/coronavirus\/\">UNC Health&#8217;s COVID-19 Resources\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hemophilia-nc.org\/index.php\">Hemophilia of North Carolina<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"color: #333333\">National Resources<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/\">CDC<\/a>\u00a0has many links and a lot of information available including information on the COVID-19 (Coronavirus).<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/index.html\">CDC&#8217;s COVID-19<\/a>\u00a0is a specialized site that is totally dedicated to COVID-19, resources, prevention, and up to date information.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hemophilia.org\/\">National Hemophilia Foundation<\/a>: Register for regular updates and information from NHF.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hemophiliafed.org\/news-stories\/2021\/04\/coronavirus-covid-19-what-hfa-is-doing\/\">Hemophilia Federation of America COVID-19 information page<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>COVID 19 Vaccination Recommendations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>UNC is recommending individuals with bleeding disorder receive the COVID-19 Vaccine.
