Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation study for patients age 18-85 years

The UNC Center for Functional GI and Motility Disorders is now recruiting subjects aged 18-85 years old to participate in a research study of an investigational study medication for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with constipation.

The research study is approximately 18 weeks long and requires 6-7 visits to the UNC CTRC clinic.

You may be eligible to participate if you are:

  • Between 18 and 85 years of age
  • Currently experiencing abdominal pain and constipation due to your Irritable Bowel Syndrome condition
  • Able and willing to make daily reports on your symptoms throughout the study
  • Able and willing to participate in the clinical research study for approximately 18 weeks

Eligible Participants will receive Investigational medication and study related care at no cost. Compensation for time and possible other reimbursement.
