Brittany Cureton is a fourth-year medical student From Charlotte NC. She is currently completing her Master of Public Health at Gillings School of Global Public Health. Brittany was drawn to quality improvement after studying public health as an undergraduate student and learning about the various health and equities and disparities within the U.S. health care system. Brittany is currently working with Dr. Johanna Quist-Nelson, assistant professor of maternal-fetal-medicine, and Dr. Elizabeth Coviello, assistant professor of maternal-fetal-medicine on an initiative to improve health equity in obstetric emergencies by increasing the use of postpartum hemorrhage checklists during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
