Korene Gbozah is a medical and public health student candidate from Charlotte, North Carolina, with a passion for obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her undergraduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill, where she cultivated her interest in medicine. Korene is currently mentored by Dr. Jennifer Tang, MD, MSCR, a distinguished expert in maternal and child health. Under Dr. Tang’s guidance, Korene is working on a project titled “Improving SDOH Screening Process for Pregnant Populations at UNC Health.” Her research focuses on enhancing the screening processes for social determinants of health to ensure better outcomes for pregnant patients. Korene is committed to advancing healthcare practices to support the well-being of mothers and their babies.
