A compelling presentation engages stakeholders, spreads effective practices, and celebrates your team\u2019s efforts. Ideally, your goal is to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate the aim, methods, data, and impact of your work.<\/li>\n<li>Align with the interests of your audience (executives, clinicians, frontline staff, QI leaders, or a mixed group).<\/li>\n<li>Use visual tools and structured storytelling to highlight what worked, what didn\u2019t, and what you learned.<\/li>\n<li>Inspire action \u2014 whether that means gaining support, spreading ideas, or sustaining change across the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key Steps<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Know your audience and tailor your message to their priorities:\n<ul>\n<li><em>Executives<\/em>: ROI, alignment with strategy, risk reduction, sustainability.<\/li>\n<li><em>Physicians<\/em>: Clinical relevance, reliable data, patient outcomes.<\/li>\n<li><em>Nurses\/Frontline Staff<\/em>: Workflow, feasibility, teamwork, and impact on patients\/staff.<\/li>\n<li><em>QI Leaders<\/em>: Methodology, data strategy, PDSA learning, spread potential.<\/li>\n<li><em>Mixed Audiences<\/em>: Include elements for each group so everyone sees value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tell a compelling story that aligns with the QI process:\u00a0\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>Define the problem with context and a meaningful patient or staff story that appeals to the heart.<\/li>\n<li>Share your SMART aim and theory of change (driver diagram).<\/li>\n<li>Summarize milestones and tested changes (PDSAs).<\/li>\n<li>Show results with clear visuals (run charts, control charts, bar graphs).<\/li>\n<li>Reflect on lessons learned \u2014 what worked, what didn\u2019t, and why.<\/li>\n<li>Conclude with next steps, spread opportunities, and calls to action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Use effective visuals to showcase your data: Incorporate process maps, driver diagrams, tables, and graphs. Try to keep slides clean and uncluttered.
