MED Teaching Assistants
Our medical and dental teaching assistants are a vital aspect of our MED program each summer. The TA team attends lecture, leads labs, and assists with small group and case study sessions, along with leading office hours and test prep prior to exams. TA positions include:
- Subject specialists (biochemistry, dental theory, gross anatomy, histology, microbiology, and physiology)
- Tutoring
- Testing
- MED Core TAs
TA Interest Meetings
TA interest meetings will be held fall 2023 to discuss what the position entails, share experiences from former TAs, and answer any questions potential applicants may have. Potential TA applicants are invited to join one of the interest meetings via the link:
TA positions are available to first-year medical and dental students.
Applications & information about interest meetings will be emailed to UNC SOM and Adams School of Dentistry students.
Interviews
Applications will be reviewed at the end of January through the beginning of February, and applicants will be notified about scheduling interviews. Instructions for scheduling interviews will be included in emails notifying students about the status of their application.
