Core Infectious Disease Fellowship Program

The UNC Infectious Disease Fellowship Program (ID Fellowship) was established in 1980 with the goal to equip physicians to become leaders in the field of infectious diseases. We offer a rich experience in clinical training and research, personally designed to our trainees’ needs and interests. The UNC ID Fellowship program offers a broad range of research and clinical opportunities, both locally and abroad, all supported by internationally-recognized faculty.

Immunocompromised Host Fellowship Program

The Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases Program (ICH ID) at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill has two positions each year for a 12 month (July 1-June 30) advanced training year. The program was established in 2015 to promote advanced training in immunocompromised hosts. This fellowship combines strong clinical training in inpatient and outpatient consultative services for immunocompromised hosts combined with education and training in one of 3 tracks: 1) antimicrobial stewardship and hospital epidemiology, 2) clinical trials, or 3) quality improvement and research.
