Dear UNC SOM Community,
As interviews conclude and rank lists are finalized, the anticipation for Match Day is quickly rising. For some, Match Day will mark the realization of a lifelong dream, securing a spot in the specialty or program they have aspired to for years. For others, the news inside the envelope may not be exactly what they had hoped for. But for all of us, this day represents the culmination of years of hard work and the beginning of a new chapter as physicians.
I was fortunate to match into urology a few weeks ago, and one of the most meaningful parts of that experience was the overwhelming support and joy from our community. Their excitement amplified my own and reminded me just how special the bonds we form at UNC truly are.
We invite you to join us on Friday, March 21, as the Class of 2025 celebrates this milestone and learns where we will continue our training. We hope you will share in this moment with us via the Match Day livestream. Your support as mentors, colleagues, friends, or family has been invaluable in helping us reach this point, and we are grateful to celebrate with you.
