Ellysa J. D. Vogt, PhD, has been named training grant program manager in the UNC School of Medicine Office of Research. In this role, Vogt will support the growing portfolio of NIH-funded training grants by coordinating data collection and reporting, developing resources, and serving as a central point of contact for training grant programs across the School of Medicine.
Vogt recently earned her PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and brings six years of experience in project coordination, grant administration, and research program support within UNC’s research ecosystem. She has firsthand experience with NIH training grants as both a trainee and contributor to funded applications, including support for NSF and NIH-funded projects, along with a strong background in data tracking systems, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Vogt’s experience leading complex research projects, building tracking and reporting infrastructure, and developing community-focused training and outreach initiatives positions her to strengthen training grant operations and enhance collaboration across the UNC research community.
