\"\"<\/a>Sara Beland, MHA, has been selected as the Associate Vice President of Operations for UNC Faculty Physicians. She will transition into her new role on June 26.<\/p>\n

As Associate VP of FP Operations, Sara will have senior level oversight of projects and lead alignment initiatives that span across the Faculty Practice.\u00a0As an experienced ACA and finance professional, Sara will foster a culture of improvement, and work to share best practices across clinical departments. Examples include alignment of surgery scheduling across departments, implementing a provider onboarding portal, and participating in multiple margin improvement efforts.<\/p>\n

Sara has served as Associate Chair of Administration (ACA) for the Department of Otolaryngology\/Head & Neck Surgery since 2019. Prior to joining the department, Sara has occupied a number of roles supporting the operational and financial needs of UNC Faculty Physicians and UNC Hospitals. She received her MHA from UNC Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n
