\"\"Matt O\u2019Neal, MBA, the Department of Psychiatry\u2019s associate chair for administration, has been appointed as the Adams School of Dentistry\u2019s associate dean for finance and administration. O\u2019Neal will begin his work in his new role in October, and Aaron Fisher will serve as psychiatry\u2019s interim associate chair for administration.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal began his work in psychiatry in 2020, providing leadership throughout the pandemic and facilitating the expansion of the department to respond to the mental health crisis and increased demand for services.<\/p>\n

A national search will begin soon to identify a successor.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neal earned a Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2013 with a concentration in strategy and leadership, and earned a BA in communication studies from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2005.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
