Those with clinical affiliations are all faculty and staff employed by UNC-Chapel Hill who provide direct patient care or who otherwise perform job duties in a patient-facing setting.\u00a0The timeline for compliance aligns with UNC Health\u2019s policy, beginning at 7 a.m. on Sept. 25 and ending 11:59 p.m. on Oct 30. All flu vaccines, attestations, or religious\/medical exemption requests must be completed within this timeline.<\/p>\n<p>All School of Medicine teammates are eligible for a free flu shot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important Reminders<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do <em><u>not<\/u><\/em> come to get a flu shot or come to work if you are sick.<\/li>\n<li><u>If School of Medicine employees receive a flu vaccine at a location other than the University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC) or UNC Hospitals\u2019 Employee\/Occupational Health Clinic a flu certification\/ self-report must be completed via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Check your 2024 compliance via the <a href=\"https:\/\/ehs.cloudapps.unc.edu\/EHS\/\"><strong><em>University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Neglecting to self-report will result in non-compliance with UNC Health, which could lead to suspension and\/or termination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (UEOHC) will offer flu vaccinations for SOM health care personnel who are part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ehs.unc.edu\/topics\/immunizations\/#tabs-0-2\"><strong><em>Immunization Review Program<\/em><\/strong><\/a> during walk-in hours.\n<ul>\n<li>UEOHC walk-in hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.<\/li>\n<li>UEOHC is located on the 2nd floor of the AHEC Building at 145 Medical Drive.<\/li>\n<li>Information on other university clinics offering flu vaccination can be found here: <a href=\"https:\/\/flu.unc.edu\/\"><strong><em>https:\/\/flu.unc.edu\/<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Vaccines administered to SOM teammates will be automatically uploaded to the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UNC Hospitals\u2019 Employee\/Occupational Health Clinic<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UNC Hospitals\u2019 Employee\/Occupational Health clinic will be offering limited opportunities for teammates to receive their flu shot: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/intranet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/578\/2024\/09\/UNC.Hosp_FluShotCampaign2024-8.5x11.pdf\">View the schedule here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Vaccines administered to SOM teammates at UNC Hospitals\u2019 Employee\/Occupational Health Clinic will be automatically uploaded to the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UNC Health Clinic Locations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vaccines administered at UNC Health clinic locations other than the UNC Hospitals\u2019 Employee\/Occupational Health Clinic will <em><u>not<\/u><\/em> automatically be uploaded to the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ehs.cloudapps.unc.edu\/ClinicRegistration\/fluCertificationLogin\"><strong><em>School of Medicine employees must self-report via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Flu vaccination at your physician\u2019s office, pharmacy or another location<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you receive a flu vaccination at your physician\u2019s office, pharmacy or another location, you will need to upload your flu certification via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ehs.cloudapps.unc.edu\/ClinicRegistration\/fluCertificationLogin\"><strong><em>School of Medicine employees must self-report via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Religious and Medical Exemption Requests <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>School of Medicine teammates with clinical affiliations can request a religious or medical exemption online via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ehs.cloudapps.unc.edu\/ClinicRegistration\/medicalCertificationLogin.jsp\"><strong><em>Medical Exemption Request Application<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ehs.cloudapps.unc.edu\/ClinicRegistration\/religiousCertificationLogin.jsp\"><strong><em>Religious Exemption Request Application<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical exemptions approved last year have been re-approved and do <em><u>not<\/u><\/em> need to be re-submitted, unless you receive a message from your entity Emp\/Occ health team asking for additional information; however new medical exemption requests must be submitted online via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal.<\/li>\n<li>Religious exemptions are <em><u>not<\/u><\/em> carried over year by year.\u202fReligious exemptions will need to be submitted online via the University\u2019s EHS Compliance Portal even if such exemption was previously granted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UNC-Chapel Hill has begun providing opportunities for community members to obtain a flu vaccination on campus.
