These changes were implemented by NSF in May 2024 and NIH will implement on applications due <strong>May 25, 2025<\/strong> or later. Resources developed by OSP can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/osp.unc.edu\/proposal\/other-support-and-biosketch\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Major changes include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants\/recipients will be required to obtain an <u>ORCID ID <\/u>and enter it into the Persistent Identifier (PID) section of the Common Forms. They will also be required to link their ORCID ID to their eRA Commons Personal Profile.<\/li>\n<li>Require all applicants\/recipients to use Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae (SciENcv) for completing the Biosketch and Other Support forms and certifying the new required information.<\/li>\n<li>Updates to Other Support requirements including certification and refined reporting of consulting and in-kind resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please prepare for these changes in advance by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registering for an ORCID ID. You can register for and link your ORCID ID to your UNC PID<\/li>\n<li>Visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/osp.unc.edu\/proposal\/other-support-and-biosketch\/\">OSP resources<\/a> to familiarize yourself with the common form templates and the SciENVcv portal used to generate the forms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have questions, please email the \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:grants@unc.edu\">SOM Sponsored Programs Office<\/a> and they can provide guidance or provide a consultation if needed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In February, OSP announced new federal requirements for the Biosketch and Other support.
