{"id":8679,"date":"2024-10-30T13:14:49","date_gmt":"2024-10-30T17:14:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/intranet\/?p=8679"},"modified":"2024-10-30T13:14:49","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T17:14:49","slug":"nominations-open-for-medical-staff-physician-excellence-awards-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/intranet\/2024\/10\/nominations-open-for-medical-staff-physician-excellence-awards-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominations Open for Medical Staff Physician Excellence Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0annual Medical Staff Physician Excellence Committee (MSPEC) Award for Physician Excellence in Clinical Care.<\/p>\n<p>Any physician on the UNC Hospitals active medical staff, including UNC School of Medicine clinical faculty, is eligible for nomination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nominees will be selected\u00a0based on\u00a0the following attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"customListStyle\">\n<li>Unwavering personal commitment to treating patients with compassion and respect.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing service as a staunch advocate for maintaining clinical excellence including the highest standards of patient safety, satisfaction, and wellbeing both physical and emotional.<\/li>\n<li>Effectiveness as a professional role model for the students and young physicians responsible for the care of future generations.<\/li>\n<li>Sense of civic responsibility through active participation in groups or organizations concerned with the health and well-being of North Carolina\u2019s citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nominations will be reviewed by the MSPEC. The awards will be granted to physicians\u00a0based on both the strength\/number of nominations, as well as the physician\u2019s performance with respects to quality care metrics and announced at the Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting and communicated across UNC Hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations may be made by UNC Health Care employees and by members of the medical staff and house staff and should be submitted to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Amber.Ellixson@unchealth.unc.edu\">Amber.Ellixson@unchealth.unc.edu<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Friday, Nov. 15, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2nd\u00a0annual Medical Staff Physician Excellence Committee (MSPEC) Award for Physician Excellence in Clinical Care.
