The John B. Graham Medical Student Research Society hosted their 57th Annual Student Research Day in Roper Hall on Nov 4. Ned Sharpless, MD, professor of cancer policy and innovation and UNC Lineberger Cancer Center member, was the keynote speaker.<\/p>\n
Established in 1987, the John B. Graham Medical Student Research Society recognizes and promotes the research efforts of the medical student body at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in basic science, public health, and clinical sciences. Students who participate in the annual Student Research Day, an event dedicated to showcase the research projects of medical students, are inducted every year to the Society. Throughout the year, members exchange ideas and share their experiences about conducting research. In addition, the Society serves to encourage collaboration with faculty to promote productive research opportunities for students.<\/p>\n
This year over there were over 200 poster presentations as oral presentations in 4 different research topic areas!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
