Woods Junior Faculty Award<\/b>. These prestigious awards aim to recognize and support promising junior faculty within the UNC School of Medicine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/oor\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/580\/2025\/06\/Jefferson-Pilot_2025-RFP.pdf\"><b>Jefferson-Pilot Fellowship<\/b><\/a>: A four-year award totaling\u00a0<b>$20,000<\/b>\u00a0to support the scholarly endeavors of fixed-term and tenure-track assistant and associate professors (without tenure).<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"James W. Woods Award\" href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/oor\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/580\/2025\/06\/James-Woods_2025-RFP.pdf\" aria-label=\"James W. Woods Award\" data-descript1=\"James W. Woods Award\"><b>James W. Woods Award<\/b><\/a>: A one-year\u00a0<b>$3,000<\/b>\u00a0award for clinical faculty at the assistant professor level on fixed-term or tenure-track appointments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Award recipients will be announced by\u00a0September 26, 2025,\u00a0and will be invited to present their work during\u00a0UNC Research Week, taking place\u00a0October 20\u201324, 2025.
