Jill Watson, MHA, has been announced as the next associate chair of administration\u00a0(ACA)\u00a0for the\u00a0department of\u00a0medicine. She will begin work in her new role on Nov. 3.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She\u00a0currently serves as ACA for\u00a0neurology and has held that role since 2022.\u00a0Prior to that, Jill was\u00a0the\u00a0associate\u00a0chief for\u00a0administration\u00a0for the divisions of\u00a0hospital\u00a0medicine and\u00a0geriatrics in the\u00a0department of medicine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jill first joined the UNC School of Medicine as an administrative intern in 2012 and has since held a variety of key administrative and operational positions, including business manager of the Meadowmont\u00a0heart and\u00a0vascular\u00a0clinics.\u00a0Jill received her BS in Business Administration from UNC\u2019s Kenan-Flagler Business School and her Master of Health Care Administration from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Jill on her new role. We would like to\u00a0thank Linda Raftery, who\u00a0has served as ACA to the department of medicine, and Franklin Farmer, who will serve as the interim\u00a0ACA in the department of neurology while a national search is conducted for someone to fill the role.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
