Martin is a third-year medical student who grew up in Charlotte, NC. He tutored elementary students in essay writing and history at the Salvation Army’s Boys and Girls Club while pursuing a bachelor’s in psychology at Elon University. Martin worked as a broker at Wells Fargo before completing a Master’s degree at Loyola University Chicago. Martin’s passion for literature began after reading the book, ‘The Diary of a Madman’ by Lu Xun in high school. This served as a catalyst for his current work of literature, a fantasy trilogy about health disparities and social injustices through the lens of a protagonist with amnesia. Apart from academic medicine, his interests include biking, exercise, and fitness, and playing board games.
