The School of Medicine network will have a partial outage on Saturday, May 19th from 7 a.m. to 12 noon impacting several campus buildings. Services affected in those buildings include desk phones, internet, EPIC, network file shares and printing. Read more for buildings affected by this maintenance.
During the scheduled maintenance window on Saturday, May 19th, the following buildings will have no network access.
- AHEC Building
- Berryhill Hall
- Bondurant Hall
- Brinkhous-Bullitt
- Burnett-Womack Building
- MacNider Hall
- *Old Clinic/Old Infirmary
- TEACCH
- Thurston-Bowles Building
- *Wings B-E
- LIS connections (only a few active devices) – not the main connection for UNC HCS traffic reaching School of Medicine
*Some floors of these buildings utilize UNC Health Care networking and those floors will not be affected.
No network access means the following services/sites will be unavailable during the outage window:
- Desk Phones
- Internet
- EPIC
- File Shares
- Printing
We recommend that if you work in any of the above buildings please discuss alternative work options with your manager for Saturday May 19th. All other buildings not listed, such as Physicians Office Building, Bioinformatics, Glaxo, and MBRB, will have full network access.
