They are categorized as available to schedule by all School of Medicine faculty, staff, and students.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular updates to technology and refresh of equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Room computer management by SOM IT Managed Desktop Services.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly scheduled maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Remote monitoring of systems<\/li>\n<li>A high level of support based on their standardized technology components and remote access controls.<\/li>\n<li>Prioritized for remote support.<\/li>\n<li>Prioritized for incident response.<\/li>\n<li>Room orientations and training are available to be scheduled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Type II (Departmental Standard SOM Build)<\/h2>\n<p>Type II spaces are generally managed by SOM departments, centers, and individuals (office space). They utilize standardized equipment approved by School of Medicine IT. Equipment needs to be 5 years or newer to be covered as Type II.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If possible, remote support and updates.<\/li>\n<li>Scheduled onsite Tier I assessment and will solve \u201ceasy\u201d fixes during scheduled onsite visits.<\/li>\n<li>If the proposed corrective action is approved by the group&#8217;s finance and leadership teams, School of Medicine IT will serve as the liaison to the vendor.<\/li>\n<li>Project support for standard 5-year upgrades as available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Type III (Non-Standard)<\/h2>\n<p>Type III spaces are generally managed by SOM departments, centers, and individuals (office space), but have non-standard technology and design, equipment over 5 years old, or have not been approved as Type II by School of Medicine IT.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scheduled onsite Tier I assessment and quick fix, if possible. No longer than 15 minutes of standard troubleshooting<\/li>\n<li>Consultation, referral to approved vendors. Project support to bring to School of Medicine IT standard technology as available.<\/li>\n<li>If the proposed corrective action is approved by the group&#8217;s finance and leadership teams, School of Medicine IT will serve as the liaison to the vendor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Please note: UNC Health spaces are not supported by School of Medicine IT.
