About Dr. Brown: Dr. Emery Brown is a Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School/Mass General Hospital, Professor of Medical Engineering and of Computational Neuroscience at MIT, and director of the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program. His research lab focuses on understanding the neurophysiology of general anesthesia using a systems neuroscience, and the development of statistical methods and signal-processing algorithms to apply to neuroscience data analysis.
