SUMMARY:Call for Abstracts: European CF Young Investigator Meeting 2019
DESCRIPTION:The 13th European CF Young Investigator Meeting will take place at the Institute Pasteur in Paris (France) from February 27th to March 1st\, 2019. This scientific meeting is organized by the European cystic fibrosis patients’ organizations together with the European Cystic Fibrosis Society. It aims at fostering interactions between young scientists in order to create a long-term collaborative European network of CF investigators. The meeting will cover all CF research fields\, considering basic research and clinical research. \nForty young investigators (under 40 years old) will be selected by an international scientific committee to present their work on CF. They will be asked to give a 10-minutes talk and also to present their results on a poster for further discussion. \nLeading scientists will moderate the different work sessions\, including plenary sessions and roundtable discussions. Moreover\, they will give overviews in microbiology\, immunology\, cell biology\, gene therapy\, and clinical issues in CF. \nThe scientific committee will reward the best presentation (talk + poster). \nThis meeting provides a unique opportunity for young scientists to train themselves and share experience. \nLarge time periods will be dedicated to networking. \nThere is no registration fee. Travel\, housing\, and meals will be covered by the organizers. \nTo apply\, please complete the abstract form (https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/QQ6BZH2) by November 4th\, 2018. Those accepted will be notified by the 3rd week of December 2018. Further information about the meeting will be provided to selected young investigators. \nPlease note: Upon application\, the abstract’s corresponding author agrees to have the abstract published for the conference and to have author’s contact details available to conference delegates.
