DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a presentation by Edwin K Silverman\, MD\, PhD\, Chief of the Channing Division of Network Medicine and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Professor at Harvard Medical School. \nDr. Silverman’s clinical interests include alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency\, emphysema\, pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). His research uses a variety of genetic analysis approaches to investigate the genetic influences of complex lung diseases\, including integrative genomics\, linkage analysis\, familial aggregation analysis\, rare variant analysis and epigenetic studies. His presentation is entitled “From Genetics to Network Medicine in COPD.” This session will be held in G100 Bondurant Hall.
