It was extremely inspiring to see Dr. Shaheen care so deeply and passionately about her patients and the systems that affected their access to care. Her immense knowledge of health systems and quality improvement work has strongly influenced me to "adopt" a QI mindset and continue with this work in medical school and beyond.
She was also one of my biggest advocates throughout the project and very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be mentored by her and strongly encourage other students to pursue the General Internal Medicine QI Program as well!
