UNC Medical Students at the Wilmington Campus will have the opportunity to complete a Physicians Leadership Certificate at the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNC Wilmington). The Cameron School’s degree programs are fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). For the eleventh consecutive year, the UNC Wilmington ranks as one of the top 10 public master’s universities in the South according to U.S.News & World Report. U.S.News also placed UNC Wilmington fifth on its list of “up-and-coming” master’s universities in the South.

The Physicians Leadership Certificate Program is designed to equip physicians for the rapidly changing world of healthcare, where leadership and business skills are critical. Students enrolled in the program will complete the following 10 courses (Full Description of Courses):

  • Organizational Development and Change
  • Emotional and Social Competence

  • Strategic Marketing and Entrepreneurship
  • Healthcare Revenue and Delivery Models

  • Legal and Regulatory Issues
  • Quality Improvement (LEAN for Healthcare)
