Sidney Barritt IV, MD, MSCR, associate professor in UNC’s division of gastroenterology and hepatology, and Andrew Moon, MD, MPH, a fellow in the division of gastroenterology and hepatology, are co-authors of a new study of patients with COVID-19 and liver disease.
Published in the Journal of Hepatology, the international study found high mortality rates from COVID-19 among people with chronic liver disease and cirrhosis.
